Our Employees of the Quarter – 2022 Q3
As 2022 Q3 comes to a close, our employees have been thinking about their Employee of the Quarter nominations.
Each quarter, every staff member can anonymously nominate four of their colleagues from different departments across the business who they believe deserve recognition for their hard work. Each winner receives a voucher and a company-wide celebration of their efforts.
Our Employees of the Quarter for Q3 of 2022 are…
- Marcus Lawton – Harlow shredding depot.
- Wade Wilson – Manchester shredding depot.
- Tom Beckett – Norwich shredding depot.
- Nicole Clarkstone – All office-based and remote staff.

Marcus Lawton – Harlow shredding depot.
Marcus is a driver at our Harlow shredding depot. He has received high praise from many of his peers this quarter, for example:
“Marcus is a hard worker and is always up for helping everyone, no matter what the task”
“He is always helpful, takes ownership of his jobs, doesn’t drop work and uses his initiative”
A fun fact about Marcus is that his brother, George Lawton, also works at our Harlow depot. Last quarter, George even won the Employee of the Quarter award! With dedication in his DNA, we extend a huge thank you to Marcus for all of his efforts these past few months.
Wade Wilson – Manchester shredding depot.
Wade is a driver at our Manchester depot. He has been described as a “good guy” by the Manchester depot manager. He receives regular praise from his colleagues every quarter. The reason his peers voted for him this month are as below:
“Wade is a reliable hard worker who always gets good feedback from customers”

A fun fact about Wade is that he shares the name of a well-known Marvel Comics antihero! Bonus points to you if you know which one.
Tom Beckett – Norwich shredding depot.
Tom is a Warehouse Operative at our Norwich shredding facility.
His colleagues voted for him this quarter because:
“Tom always helps out when needed and is a key member of the Shred Station team”
“He’s the best Beckett at Shred Station and always helps 😉”
In a quite unbelievable turn of events, we have yet another brother duo taking over the Employee of the Quarter awards! Tom’s brother Josh also works at Shred Station, and last quarter Josh won the Norwich depot award! It seems the Beckett brothers are a force to be reckoned with at Shred Station. Well done to you, Tom.
Nicole Clarkstone – Office and remote teams.
Nicole is relatively new to the Shred Station team. She started working as a Customer Service Advisor at our Norwich head office in the summer of 2022. This quarter, she received more votes than anyone has ever received in all of our previous awards. This demonstrates just how much the team appreciates Nicole already. Here are just some of the reasons her peers voted for her:
“Nicole works really hard and her kindness and sense of humour have made Shred Station an even nicer place to work. Still quite new, she has picked the job up very quickly and is very intelligent. Well done, Nicole!”

A fun fact about Nicole is that she is the next-door neighbour of our Operations Manager, Martin. It wasn’t until her first day that Martin realised his neighbour was sitting at the computer he had just set up for the new starter! Thankfully, they have a very happy neighbourly relationship so any potential awkwardness was averted.
