Chain of custody

For every document that goes through your organisation, you must be able to provide evidence of that document’s chain of custody. The Information Commissioner’s Office can call upon businesses at any time to provide this evidence, and that includes proof of how documents are being disposed of.

After every collection, Shred Station will issue you a Certificate of Destruction and a Waste Transfer Note. These documents confirm the safe destruction of your data in line with GDPR and EN 15713 and provide proof for your organisation’s chain of custody records. Our mobile shredding service offers the shortest chain of custody, but whichever service you choose, your confidential information is in safe hands.
