Witness the destruction with our mobile shredding trucks

Shred Station’s on-site mobile shredding service provides ultimate peace of mind. On-site shredding allows you to witness the destruction of your materials, with no risk of reassembly. Every shredding service we provide complies with GDPR and EN15713 standards, and many customers prefer the shorter chain of custody and heightened security that come with receiving services at their premises.

Using the multi-cut industrial shredders on board our mobile shredding vehicles, we ensure your data is destroyed beyond retrieval.

On-site shredding for many materials, UK-wide

Our national coverage means that wherever you are in the UK, you can witness your shredding take place at your premises.

We can shred whatever you need to dispose of. As well as paper, we can also provide on-site services for hard drive destruction, textile shredding, media shredding, and much more. Please note that to recycle as much material as possible, we may recommend an off-site service for low quantities of non-paper items.

How our on-site shredding service works

  1. Booking your service
If we are providing a regular service, we will deliver confidential waste bins before your first collection.
  2. Our journey begins
On the morning of your service, you’ll receive an email containing a live service tracker so you can monitor our driver’s progress throughout the day.
  3. Security-vetted staff
On arrival, our uniformed BS7858 security-vetted operatives will transfer your materials into our mobile shredding truck.
  4. On-site shredding for you to witness
Our mobile shredding vehicles have a metal screen, allowing you to witness the shredding take place from the ground. The materials are then loaded directly into our onboard industrial shredder. A Waste Transfer Note and Certificate of Destruction will be issued via email immediately.
  5. Recycling
Shredded paper is transported back to our high-security destruction centres. There, it is commingled with tonnes of other shredded documents, baled, and securely transported to UK mills for recycling. For non-paper waste, we utilise dedicated waste streams, and nothing we shred goes to landfill.

Frequently asked questions

Please see below some answers to our customers’ frequently asked questions. If your query isn’t answered below, please feel free to head over to our FAQS page for more information.

Is mobile shredding noisy?

The noise is comparable to a dustbin lorry. However, our on-site vehicles can destroy around 600,000 sheets per hour, so we will be out of your way quickly.

Do you offer one-off collections, or do I have to be a regular customer?

We are happy to accommodate one-off, ad-hoc, and regular collections.

Do you comply with EN 15713 or DIN 66399?

We perform our services in line with EN 15713 standards (the European Standard) rather than DIN (the German Standard). This is because EN 15713 covers all aspects of shredding services, including shred size, whereas DIN only covers shred size. You can find more information about the differences between DIN 66399 and EN 15713 in our help guide.

Is there anything I can’t put in with my paper for shredding?

Yes. Please separate items like photographs, x-rays, and non-paper items for shredding. We can destroy these items, but they have to be recycled separately to avoid contamination. For non-paper items, our sales team will walk you through the process, or you can use our posters as a rough guide. You can find these by clicking on ‘resources’ in our menu. We also kindly request customers ensure their teams do not put batteries into shredding bins. These can cause fires and risk harming our operatives.

What do I need to do to prepare for my shredding service?

When preparing for your paper shredding service, you do not need to remove paper clips, staples, or plastic wallets. We do, however, ask that you keep items like photographs, x-rays, and other non-paper items separately if you need them to be shredded. Please also ensure your materials are bagged or boxed up safely, and can be accessed at ground-level or via a lift on the day of your service.

On-site vs off-site paper shredding

Our on-site services allow you to witness the destruction of your confidential materials, and chain of custody documents are provided instantly. Our off-site paper shredding service is also extremely secure and is a slightly more cost-effective solution. With off-site services, we collect your confidential waste in a secure vehicle and destroy it at our high-security depots. Our depots are fully monitored with constant CCTV and are only accessible by approved, security-vetted personnel using strict access controls. As with on-site shredding, this service is approved for UK Government use and complies fully with GDPR and EN 15713 security shredding standards.

Mobile shredding for many materials

We can perform on-site services for many materials. Using our mobile shredding truck, we can destroy nearly anything.

Paper shredding

Our on-site paper shredding service is used by individuals, businesses, and public sector organisations across the UK.

Textile shredding

If you have high volumes of old uniforms to destroy or if your uniforms would be particularly dangerous in the wrong hands, for instance, military or airport security uniforms, on-site textile shredding is ideal.

Media destruction

Should your company prefer on-site destruction for media and digital storage devices, we can help. Our powerful mobile shredders can destroy CDs, DVDs, tapes and other media storage devices with ease.
