Regular Shredding
Shred Station provides regular shredding services to destroy your confidential information on a frequency that suits your business. Scheduled shredding services are available on-site at your premises, or off-site at our secure depots across the UK.
Bespoke, fully accredited regular shredding
To comply with GDPR and data protection legislation, your organisation shouldn’t keep personal information longer than it’s needed. To stay on top of your data retention obligations, a cost-effective and compliant solution is to securely destroy your confidential materials regularly. Regularly shredding with a reputable and fully accredited shredding service provider also completes your chain of custody, with a Certificate of Destruction and Waste Transfer Note provided after every service.
Whatever material you need to destroy and whatever frequency of service is required, you can be confident your items will be destroyed securely. Our accreditations page details the many certifications and standards that we adhere to. These accreditations authenticate our security and provide confidence in our secure services. We go far beyond what most shredding services can offer in relation to compliance, with higher standards of quality and assurance than the majority of our competitors. All services are performed by BS 7858 security-vetted personnel in line with EN 15713 standards.

Benefits of a regularly scheduled shredding service
Our regular scheduled services are available across the UK and are a great option for companies of all sizes. Shredding is a core business process that improves information security, and there are many benefits of using services on a regular schedule.
- Compliance
Regularly shredding your confidential materials means your organisation can stay on top of its data retention obligations in line with GDPR. We recommend implementing a ‘Shred Everything’ policy for all paperwork to keep documents safe and reduce the risk of a data breach.
- Security & service tracking
Having regular services performed by a fully accredited company will help to remove the risk of your sensitive information falling into the wrong hands. We’ll also provide confidential waste bins before your first collection to keep your materials under lock and key before and between collections. On the day of your service, you can also track our driver’s progress so you’ll know when to expect us at your premises.
- Your net-zero journey
Our regular shredding customers can receive bespoke environmental reports detailing the resources saved by shredding and recycling with us. As a lifetime CarbonNeutral certified company, we are also proud to deliver all shredding services with neutralised carbon emissions. We also operate with a Zero to Landfill policy, ensuring your services are as green as possible.
- Customer portal
When you sign up for a regular shredding service, we can set you up on our online portal. There, you can view upcoming collection schedules, Waste Transfer Notes and Certificates of Destruction demonstrating your secure chain of custody, invoices, reports, and other important documents related to your service agreement.
- The Shred Station guarantee
If you sign up for a regular shredding service and find that it isn’t quite the right fit for you, you can cancel your contract within the first 6 weeks with zero questions asked and no cancellation costs.
How the regular shredding process works
When you sign up for a regular service, we’ll create a bespoke solution tailored to your exact wants and needs. Before our first collection, we’ll install confidential waste bins at your site, chosen by you to suit your workplace environment. Then, we’ll route your services on a regular schedule that suits you.
It is a core pillar of our ethos to cause minimal interruptions. So, most of the time, we operate largely in the background. Alternatively, we are happy to be escorted around your premises if you prefer this approach.
Scheduled shredding services for customers with multiple sites
If you’re a company with multiple premises, we can organise tailored scheduled shredding services to suit each site. For example, some sites may need regularly scheduled shredding, and others may only want ad-hoc collections. You aren’t tied into using the same service at every site. We offer many options, depending on the volume of shredding required. Everything will be tailored to suit each site’s needs, keeping your services cost-effective.
If you are switching to us from another shredding company, we’ll ensure a seamless transition by working with your current provider to ensure your organisation is never left without confidential waste containers. We’ll keep your confidential documents safe throughout the process, giving you peace of mind.
Regular shredding, UK-wide
We cover the whole of the UK. Wherever you are, we can provide a regular shredding service.
“While tendering for a confidential paper destruction service, along with the regular shredding accreditations, we were looking for a company that prioritises the current global greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability issues. Shred Station has shown this by being a CarbonNeutral® certified company, and along with their fantastic recycling results and great service, they are also helping QBE and PrimeClean achieve their own sustainability and carbon footprint goals”
Cliff Burns

“We have been working with Shred Station for a long time. They were our first option due to their comprehensive waste management solutions, which align with our commitment to sustainability, data security, and operational efficiency. Their Zero to Landfill approach and ability to securely handle diverse WEEE waste simplify our processes while ensuring compliance and environmental responsibility”

“Since early 2022, we have been with Shred Station on a national contract covering over 100 sites with varying collection arrangements. The support to exit our previous contract and mobilise was top class, and since entering into the contract with Shred Station, we have been incredibly impressed at having no service issues, especially given the complexity of some of our locations within wider NHS premises. We are proud to partner with a provider who demonstrably helps us achieve carbon reductions, which come about thanks to the passion of the Shred Station team.”

Frequently asked questions
Please see below some answers to our customers’ frequently asked questions. If your query isn’t answered below, please feel free to head over to our FAQs page for more information.
- Can we have regular services on a schedule that suits our organisation?
Yes. We are flexible to all sorts of requirements. We have some customers who require daily services and others who may only need a service every couple of months.
We also offer flexibility for customers such as schools, which need regular services but are closed over the summer.
- How will my regular services be arranged? Do I have to phone and book every time?
Once a regular schedule is agreed upon, your service will be automatically added to our routes. You don’t have to call us; our services will operate seamlessly and we can provide a dated service schedule document in advance for you to reference.
As a regular customer, we can also set you up to use our online portal. On the portal, you can view your upcoming collection dates, past collection dates, as well as all of your Waste Transfer Notes and Certificates of Destruction.
On the day of your service, we’ll also send out a live service tracker to your site representative. This means you don’t have to work your entire day around our visit, or call to find out where we are.
- Do you provide shredding bins? Are they lockable? Can we have a key?
We will supply shredding bins for regular customers and for large office clear-outs. All of the confidential waste bins we supply are lockable and have a slot in the top or the front to place materials through. You can also purchase bins from our online shop if you’d like a confidential waste bin without a regular shredding service.
We request authorisation in writing to supply keys and typically restrict these to certain staff, as your bins are likely to contain internally confidential information.
- Do you provide proof of destruction?
Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Destruction via email. With on-site services, this is provided instantly. With off-site services, it may take a few days for us to process the certificate, but it will be sent within 72 hours guaranteed.
- What frequency do you recommend for small businesses?
The frequency you need a service will depend on a number of factors, for example:
– How much paper you produce
– How sensitive the information you process is
– How much space you have to store confidential waste between collections.
As a very broad generalisation, most small offices have monthly collections. However, weekly services may be better for high-volume, high-sensitivity sectors such as healthcare, legal, and financial organisations. If you don’t produce much paper but still want to ensure it’s kept safe, an 8-weekly service might suit you best. Our experienced team can help in estimating a service frequency that offers the best value.
- What happens to shredded paper?
After shredding, we recycle 100% of shredded paper at UK paper mills. The shredded fragments can be turned into many sustainable materials such as new paper, kitchen towels, toilet tissues, and feminine hygiene products.
