Products we can destroy
With our product shredding services, we can handle just about any material. This includes electronics, metals, plastics, fabrics, and ceramics - as well as paper. The types of products we can destroy are pretty much endless.
Obsolete or end-of-life stock
Many manufacturers and retailers end up with a surplus of obsolete or end-of-life stock that requires secure disposal. This includes items like old computers, electronics, and antiquated items like fax machines. Dead stock disposal will free up your storage space, making room for profitable products.
Old merchandise and promo items
Many businesses use product destruction services for event-specific merchandise or promo items that can’t be reused. For instance, festival wristbands, staff t-shirts for events, event-specific branding and more. Disposing of these redundant items with Shred Station helps to protect your brand and avoid landfill.
Faulty, defective, and recalled products
If your products have failed to meet safety standards, they must be destroyed. It is essential to destroy faulty or recalled products to prevent them from entering or re-entering the market. Destruction can help to reduce the risk of public harm and protect your brand.
Prototypes and commercially sensitive non-paper items
Many businesses have non-paper items that are commercially sensitive. We can destroy old ID cards, photo passes, prototype products, draft architectural drawings, models, and old company credit cards.
Excess stock and unsold seasonal items
If you have excess stock that hasn’t sold and isn’t likely to sell, it’s often cheaper to destroy it than to store it indefinitely. While we know this isn’t ideal, we will always try to find a recycling solution to minimise waste.
Cargo and freight
We provide cargo disposal and freight disposal services to companies and ports across the UK. This can be anything from a few parcels to huge shipping containers full to the brim of mixed types of abandoned and unclaimed cargo.
Old packaging or limited-edition designs
If your products have had a packaging update or have a limited-edition design for a seasonal event or a promotion, you may want to destroy the old packaging. This can help to maintain brand consistency for your products on the shelves.
Illegal, counterfeit, or seized goods
We work with police forces across the UK and have destroyed everything from weaponry to fake designer clothes and accessories. Counterfeiting costs the UK economy billions each year, so destroying these types of materials is vital.
Fashion shredding
One of our product shredding specialities is branded product destruction for fashion items.
We are trusted to destroy unsold stock, damaged garments and misprinted items by some of the largest fashion houses in the world. By destroying these items, fashion brands can ensure their branded or high-end luxury goods don’t end up losing value by being sold off cheaply. It also prevents the risk of high-value items ending up in the wrong hands, where there could be an increased risk of counterfeiting.

Yes, you can. We can collect everything you need to destroy. However, certain materials must be kept separately from each other. This ensures we can recycle as much as possible after shredding takes place. Our sales team will talk you through the process. We typically recommend off-site destruction for multiple materials to achieve the best value for money.
Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Destruction via email. With on-site services, this is provided instantly. With off-site services, it may take a few days for us to process the certificate, but it will be sent within 72 hours guaranteed.
With on-site services, your materials are destroyed at your premises on board a secure shredding vehicle. On-site vehicles are equipped with industrial shredding machines, and you can witness the destruction take place from ground-level.
With off-site services, we will collect your materials in a secure, discreetly branded truck. Our operatives will collect your materials, place them into locked containers, and transport them back to our destruction facilities for immediate processing. Our vehicles and facilities are covered by constant 360 CCTV, and our vehicles are also GPS tracked for enhanced security in transit.
We can destroy most types of hazardous or electronic waste, but would need an itemised list from you to confirm pricing. This list also enables us to see if there are materials we can't destroy, or if there's anything that needs to be separated from other items. With hazardous waste, we will provide a hazardous waste consignment note for your compliance records.
Once your quote is accepted, we can agree on a suitable date to perform the service. How soon we can come depends on our route availability in your area. Our average wait time is under a week. If you need an urgent service performed within 24 hours, this is something we can arrange, but additional charges may apply.
