Metal recycling

Our commercial metal recycling services are available UK-wide. We will recycle 100% of metals, including ferrous metals (metals which contain iron), non-ferrous metals, and precious metals. We can also collect metals from domestic properties where needed.

Reduce emissions with metal recycling services

Ensuring your metal waste is diverted from landfill is vital for the conservation of raw materials. Metal is not only expensive to mine, but it also emits significant emissions in both the mining and smelting processes. By using our scrap metal collection services, you can reduce carbon emissions and help to keep this precious resource from going to waste. This supports a circular economy.

Scrap metal recycling for ferrous and non-ferrous metals

We offer scrap metal recycling collections across the UK and can accept deliveries of metals into our fully licensed metal processing facilities. Please note that all deliveries must be booked in advance.

Metal waste recycling for all sorts of products and parts

If you’re in charge of metal waste recycling or scrap metal management at your business, you may be wondering what sorts of metals we can collect. Some of the common metal products and parts we collect include:

  • Cabling

  • Fabrication waste

  • Manufacturing offcuts

  • Machine parts

  • Metal shelving

  • Metal swarf

  • Pipework

  • Production scrap

  • Rebar

  • Steel beams

  • Structural steel

  • Unwanted metal products, such as walking aids.

We can also collect electrical components with our WEEE recycling service. Please make sure that any electrical or hazardous metal waste is kept separately from other metals. Electrical items require different recycling processes, and we will provide a hazardous waste consignment note for any electrical items as proof of your responsible disposal. We are an Environment Agency licensed waste carrier, and your metals will be managed safely and compliantly.

If you have waste metal that isn’t listed above, please feel free to get in touch.

Large scrap metal collections

We can provide a lockable skip to store your metals before bulk collections. We can also lift heavy metals with our specialist equipment. This means large or awkwardly shaped metals can be recycled. We can even perform full site clearances for things like metal warehouse racking in the event of premises refurbishments or closures. Get in touch today to see how we can help you with your scrap metal recycling.

While our metal recycling services are expanding, we can currently offer highly competitive rebates for large volumes of scrap metal. All metals will be weighed on our calibrated scales, and a Waste Transfer Note will be issued with every service for your Duty of Care records.

No. Ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be kept in the same containers.

However, any metal electrical components must be recorded separately to ensure compliant collection paperwork and processing. This is because electronic equipment is considered hazardous waste and requires separate processing.

Yes. We can provide wheelie bins, crates, cages, stillages, bulk containers and even lockable RORO skips for metal waste. Let us know how much waste metal you produce, and we can recommend suitable containers to suit your needs.

Yes. Although the majority of our scrap metal customers are commercial, we can also arrange domestic collections.

Your metals will be processed at highly specialised metal recycling facilities. This involves separating the metals into types using state-of-the-art machinery, including industrial magnets, eddy currents, X-rays, infrared scanners and even AI imaging tools.

When separated, the metals are shredded into smaller fragments. The fragments are then melted down and filtered to remove impurities. Once filtered, the liquid molten metal is set into casts to cool and harden into ingots. These ingots can then be used to make new metal products, completing the recycling process.

We will collect your materials from you as often as you need them collected. Our service frequencies are highly flexible, and our services are tailored to suit the needs of every customer.
