Shred Station becomes a member of UKSSA

We’re very pleased to announce that we recently joined UKSSA, the UK Security Shredding Association.

UKSSA is the only UK-based association dedicated to Security Shredding operational standards. It stipulates and enforces the highest operational standards in confidential data destruction, including compliance with BS EN15713 and BS 7578.

UKSSA’s own standards cover areas such as building security, secure collection containers, mobile shredding, transport, security and the size of shredded fragments. They also lay down requirements for vetting and training personnel, insurance and inspections by UKSSA’s appointed consultants.

UKSSA works with government and other regulatory bodies to maintain standards across the shredding industry. Its members include many of the UK’s leading providers of confidential data destruction services. All members are independently audited before they join and every two years thereafter, to confirm that they still meet the same level of quality.

Our membership gives our clients even greater reassurance of our commitment to the very highest standards in secure shredding. We’re looking forward to playing an active role in the organisation for many years to come.
