Media destruction:
At Shred Station we have the expertise and equipment to handle items such as x-rays, tapes, CD‘s, DVD‘s and memory sticks. These can be shredded onsite in our vehicle or removed and shredded at one of our depots.
Once shredded, all material is sent to an Energy from Waste plant where it is burnt to produce electricity which is then sent back into the National Grid to power homes across the country.
Hard drive destruction:
On one hard drive alone there could be enough data when printed to cover 10 football pitches. Data which is stored on hard drives can often be overlooked. The only way to ensure this data is disposed of correctly is by physical destruction. Wiping can often only remove front end data, in the hands of a criminal data can easily be recovered.
Shred Station offers two different types of hard drive destruction, we can either destroy at you premises using one of our purpose built mobile shredders which will destroy drives to particles no larger than 16mm or we can collect and shred at our secure warehouse where the security level can be altered to your requirements. To ensure full compliance we can record serial numbers and issue a certificate of destruction detailing these.
